The ICDL (International Computer Driving Licence) is an internationally recognised qualification, which enables people to demonstrate they have mastered the fundamental concepts of Information Technology (IT) and are able to use a personal computer and common computer applications at a basic level of competence.

The Italian Culture Institute has signed an agreement with ICDL Argentina to be an official ICDL Testing Centre.

The ICDL program operates in more than 135 countries all over the world and in most of them it is recognized by their corresponding ministries of Education and Work. In the case of Latin America; Argentina, Chile and Brasil were the first to adopt the ICDL system.

The ICDL program is internationally coordinated by the ECDL Foundation which has its central office in Dublin, Ireland. ECDL foundation makes the ICDL syllabus and keeps it up to date. You can see the content of the syllabus at http://www.icdl.org.ar.

ICDL is internationally recognized as leader because of its reliability and independency from private suppliers. In our country ICDL is the only system of its kind that supports property software like Microsoft and others, as well as open source software.

The Italian Culture Institute offers the possibility to obtain this certificate to any person that might be interested, particularly to its secondary school students.
